Prologue

Well it's been two years since the last blog and those heady summer days at the Olympic Park

Now it's Glasgow's turn and as you can see the airport is already to receive that rush of athletes and visitors for the Commonwealth Games

So what's been happening. Well multiple trips to Glasgow for interview, orientation at the Emirates Arena, Uniform and Accreditation collection (the important bit), Role Specific Training at Hamden Park, and last week Venue Specific Training

So the Games start next week. As is usual I've got a ticket for the Opening Ceremony - unlikely to be the spectacle of Danny Boyle but no doubt Scotland and Glasgow will and can deliver

For those blog followers from 2012, it is anticipated that the menu of the day feature will be featured

The weather last week (see photos below of the Clyde from Finnieston Quay) was beautiful. Any bets on what it will be like from next Wednesday?
